A. Lee Maddox, DDS, A Professional Law Corporation’s office is located in Orange County.  He advises dentists throughout California regarding their dental legal and business matters.

Dr. Maddox received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California in 1987, his certificate in endodontics from the University of Southern California in 1989, and his board certification in endodontics in 1995.  Dr. Maddox received his J.D. degree from Whittier College of Law, Costa Mesa, California where he graduated in the top one-third of his class and received the American Jurisprudence Book Award for the class Accounting for Lawyers (indicative of having ranked first in his law school class in such course).

Dr. Maddox limited his practice to endodontics and maintained two offices in the cities of Orange and Placentia, California for nine years.  As a result of his distinguished endodontic abilities and management skills, his endodontic practice experienced a 700% increase in production during said nine year period.

Dr. Maddox has also been intimately involved in the research and development of nickel titanium rotary files on behalf of Tycom Dental and whose offices are located in Irvine, California, Austin, Texas, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his employ with Tycom Dental, Dr. Maddox was a major contributor to the implementation of major advances occurring in rotary instrumentation currently being used in endodontic and general dental offices worldwide. He has lectured both nationally to dental societies and internationally (in Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, Hong Kong and the Philippines) on major innovations in the field of endodontics during the last ten years with a special emphasis on NiTi rotary instruments. He currently authors articles for such professional journals as the California Dental Association Journal and Dental Economics as well as for more than twenty (20) of the California Dental Association’s component societies’ newsletters.

Dr. Maddox was a clinical instructor to the residents in the Departments of Endodontics at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and Loma Linda School of Dentistry. He presently volunteers as a guest lecturer at the UCSF School of Dentistry and the Graduate Practice Residency Program at the UCLA School of Dentistry.  In addition, Dr. Maddox is frequently requested to act as an expert witness in litigation involving general dentists and endodontists on behalf of defense counsel.

Dr. Maddox is currently a member of the California State Bar and two of its sections: Corporate and Business Law and Real Property Law.

Dr. Maddox’s dentist clientele seek his advice in business matters such as dental practice acquisitions ands sales, incorporations and partnerships, associate ship relationships, space sharing or solo-group relationships, employee/independent contractor agreements, real estate acquisitions and office leases.
